Insidious Evil

My fear in rereading the chapter on Male Homosexuality in David Reuben’s 1969 book, Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex* (*But Were Afraid to Ask), something I had not read since I was fourteen or fifteen, was that his sick distortions about homosexuality would get inside my head. When I finally did reread the chapter, it was so outlandish in its portrayal of homosexuality that it seemed laughable and sad at the same time. Ruben’s utter contempt, breezy sneering, and high minded superiority for homosexuality has an ugly and evil quality.

Marvelous Party

I gave a dinner party last night with my boyfriend. We had four friends over for the dinner party. To come up with the menu, I had to navigate my low carb diet and another man’s blood type diet. My boyfriend brought a wonderful salad and I made the rest, roasted chicken and butternut squash, green beans with lemon and pine nuts and a homemade pumpkin pie. The table was set beautifully. Salon with Boyfriend

Last night my boyfriend and I were invited over to the home of a friend for an evening of cocktails, dinner, music and poetry.  The music part entailed our host and three of the guests, including my boyfriend, playing the piano, cello, bassoon and singing.  The two of us without musical ability read poems.  We heard a bit of opera, some beautiful classical pieces, and a few more modern songs.  I read a Robert Burns poem that I love called, John Anderson my jo, John and another man read a wonderful Maya Angelou poem called, Still I Rise.

There was a small in-ground pool which some of the men went into. Bathing suits soon disappeared and the men stood in the water naked talking. After a short while it became sexual with the men touching, kissing and ultimately sucking each other. Continue reading

Attraction

I was traveling last week on business. Upon checking into my hotel I did what many gay male travelers do: I pulled out my iPhone and began checking out the local men on my apps: Grindr, Scruff, Mr X and Manhunt, to see who was out there. I have learned that different apps are more popular in different geographic areas so sometimes one app like Scruff, which is great in Washington, D.C, may not be good somewhere else. Custom Genitals

For a while now, the subject of Trans men has fascinated me. I discovered the photographs of Loren Cameron online, a trans man and photographer who has published a number of photography books about trans men. Cameron’s nude photographs of himself from about 1999 are incredibly sexy and I began to fantasize about what it would be like to have sex with a trans man. Continue reading
